Configuring E-mail In Outlook

This guide will show step-by-step instructions for setting up email on Outlook for Windows. While it can be used for various versions of Outlook, some screens and steps might vary.

Configuring an E-mail Account:

  1. Select the File menu and choose Info

  2. Click the Add Account button.
  3. Choose Manual setup or additional server types

  4. Select Next and choose Choose POP or IMAP

  5. Choose Next

 

Account Setting

  1. Enter your Name as you want it to appear on your outbound email messages.

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Select POP3 as Account Type
  4. Enter mail.yourdomain.co.zw as your Incoming Mail Server.
    The Outgoing Mail Server is the same as your Incoming Mail Server.
    Enter your email address for the User Name
    Enter your email password.

More Settings

  1. Click the More Settings button
  2. Click the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" checkbox.
  3. Make sure that it is using the same settings as your incoming mail server.

  4. Select Advanced Tab and enter the following settings:
    Incoming server (POP3): 110
    Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
    Use the following type of encrypted connect: SSL/TLS or SSL
    advanced

 

Finish the setup by clicking Ok and Next.
